TELLING

In 2003, when the Democrats believed they were poised to take back the White House and Congress, under a preceived weak economy, all you saw were media stories showing burned out rust belt factories and lines at unemployment offices. While you don't hear today that the economy is doing well - even if we're headed toward a robust first quarter - you don't see the "the economy sucks" stories out there. The news these days is specifically what the media doesn't want to report.
